Scuttlebutt Roundup: Something Is Fishy In Orem UT

Candace Owens and others are poking holes in the FBI assertions that Tyler Robinson was the hit man in Charlie Kirk's killing. Oh, and Kash Patel is a moron.

I assumed the FBI got the right guy, even though they botched the investigation during that critical first hour or so. Plus: comments attributed to Robinson seemed plausible: young white nerdy 22-year old, introverted, super smart from a Mormon and Republican family, who has been raised to shoot guns and had proven marksmanship skill.

Then last week I read this recommended Substack post:

Thinking about it, I remembered some of the comments Robinson supposedly made sounded off. But as the brain is wrought to do, I shoved that to the back of my mind. After all the FBI and the media reported that he told his family and a friend he was the gunman. He turns himself in.

And he confessed.

Patton has thought through stuff that didn’t occur to me. Or most people. She’s a journalism teacher. She is around young folks all day. I’m not though I do know a gamer or two.

She’s got a doctorate.

And she spends her days teaching future journalists to be critical thinkers. She’s credible. So reading sh*t like this, I go, “Yeah, a bunch of this tracks.”

And this section she pulls from the NY Post. Unless this kid was raised in a bomb shelter like the Brendan Fraser character in the movie, Blast From the Past, yeah, I’m like,

“naw bruh.”

Credibility counts. And who doesn’t have it is Kash Patel, FBI Director (whom Jeff Tiedrich calls Crazy Eyes), Trump flunky.

Outside the MAGA Gang, most folks think Patel is an incompetent piece of sh*t. A guy who got his job by showing his willingness to go far up Trump’s a*a.

Now add the trans talk. Amanda Marcotte, in her Salon newsletter writes:

Kash Patel is among the worst. The FBI under his leadership is proving to be more focused on politicizing violence than they are solving crimes. They kept releasing false information to the press, such as suggesting falsely that they caught the shooter long before they did and worse, claiming there were “pro-trans” messages on the bullets. (It appears to be a video game reference.)

First Robinson was trans. Then we get told he is shacking up with a trans roommate. Robinson ain’t talking so none of this has been confirmed. But give the MAGA Gang an inch and they’ll take a mile.

It’s Netanyahu

There’s another critic whose analyses can’t be easily dismissed. It is Counter Estate, here on Substack. Now, I am not sold on their core argument which like Candace Owens points to Netanyahu.

Though he has been over the news denying everything.

Maybe. No. IDK.

But on some points, I go “yeah, Council Estate may be onto something.

I agree that the nose, mouth, nor ears on the real photo of Robinson don’t check against the AI enhanced image of Robinson. Take a look.

Okay. Maybe. IDK.

But below, this is some kind of sh*t. They did some serious “connect four.” A level of detail most of us can’t or won’t take the time to sort.

And a defense attorney can have a field day with.

Dude taking down equipment. Council Estate correctly notes this is usually called “tampering with a crime scene.” Even if unintentional.

Note: Neither Patton nor Council Estate are saying the shooter can’t possibly be Robinson. But this level of scrutiny is the meat that a defense attorney can run with.

Candace Owens, who was with Turning Point, then left after falling out with Kirk over Israel is another vocal critic. I may circle back to her on another post, but maybe not. I am not a Candace Owens fan just like I wasn’t a Charlie Kirk fan…from way back.
